Vincent and Catherine talking to Eric.

Question of the Day

What do you think?

Do you think the Gabriel was a lost cause, or do you think he could have been redeemed?

Winterfest is over and no new entries can be accepted. Here are the entries added during Winterfest.

Ich glaube aber nicht dass es funktioniert hätte.------ Maybe Gabriel had been more of a "looser" in his childhood and now feels vindicated in his actings. A woman that had fully captured his heart and his life, a friend, a happening that had turned sight to things, his behaviour positivly. That both must have happened in a really huge way to change things. But I don't believe it would have worked out well.

He was beyond being a lost cause. He had no heart. There was no goodness anywhere in him. All he wanted was power and he was willing to build his kingdom on death, blood, and the suffering of anyone he deemed unworthy. He got exactly what he deserved. I was so glad that Diana used Cathy's gun to do it, too.

Gabriel was GRRM's practice for Cersei Baratheon. neither one is redeemable.

They needed some real bad person (perhaps to show how good Vincent was or to show that only a real Evil could destroy someone as good as Cathy! (Even if in my opinion Cathy could have a much longer life!!)

Gabriel was pure evil. Some people simply can't be redeemed.

In my opinion, Gabriel was totally evil and corrupt. Probably had been from the time he was a child. He said his father sold him and he went back later and killed his father. He also killed the first woman/girl he ever had sex with. That's pretty evil. Whoever wrote him (and I suspect that GRR Martin had something to do with it) sure knew how to convey evil.

Nature vs. nurture (and riches, and power) again! The adult Gabriel was a perverse manipulator and a lost cause. At which early point in his life could he have been saved...? No idea.

Totally lost cause! Glad she shot the SOB. Not that I have an opinion, LOL!

I think some people are totally lost to the darkness and Gabriel was one of them. He loved and worshiped death. He only wanted power. He was dangerous and cold and mad. He had to be killed. I always thought it was a nice touch Diana shot him. Because in Roman mythology Diana was the protector of pregnant women. She couldn't save Cathy, but she could avenge her, and save her child.
